Resolution
Resolves to the party designation printed beside the winner's name on the certified general-election ballot; the winner is whoever leads after the final round of ranked-choice counting. 'Republican' and 'Democratic' require those exact designations; any other designation (undeclared, nonpartisan, or a minor party such as the Alaskan Independence or Libertarian parties) resolves 'Independent or nonpartisan.'
